Long Live the Unity of Maoist Parties in India - Statement of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan

Statement of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan on the merger of the Maoist parties in India:

Long Live the Unity of Maoist Parties in India

With great joy and jubilation we warmly welcome and congratulate the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Naxalbari's merger with the Communist Party of India (Maoist). We firmly believe that this principled and necessary step by Indian comrades will have a positive impact not only in India, but also in the surrounding region.
The current unity accomplished between the Maoist parties in India will further advance the great cause of the people's war in India, deepening and expanding the waves of this revolutionary war and other forms of mass struggle amongst the masses of India.
India, after China, is the second most populated country in the world, containing more than one sixth of the global population. The increasing advance of the Indian people’s war is not only a sign of immense hope for the exploited and oppressed masses in the region––a sign of a bright revolutionary future––but is also an inspiration for the revolutionary Maoists and the exploited and oppressed masses in other countries dominated by imperialism.
In the current conjuncture, the chronic crisis of the imperialist world system has resulted in mass uprisings in various countries. Arming the struggling masses with the weapon of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, and organizing them under the leadership of a revolutionary vanguard––through strengthening the existing parties and creating new parties where they do not exist––is an unavoidable necessity and inviolable responsibility of proletarian revolutionaries.
Undoubtedly the total unity of the Maoists in India within the Communist Party of India (Maoist) will result in the further strengthening of India's Maoist movement and will further stimulate and expand the cause of arming the striving Indian masses with the weapon of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. The further strengthening and expanding of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the people’s war in India will not only help strengthen the cause of the mass movements and Maoist parties, particularly in that region, but will also further stimulate and strengthen the struggle for the formation of new Maoist parties and mass movements.
The other task of the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties and organizations of different countries of the world that should be carried out in parallel with the above mentioned task is the struggle for the formation of an international organization for Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties and organizations––an organization that will form the core of a broad front leading the world's anti-imperialist struggles.
We can be certain that the participation of the Communist Party of India (Maoist), as a more unified party that is leading the great people's war in India, in the formation of an international organization of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties and organizations, will further this struggle with great waves and leaps. On the other hand, a preliminary and anti-imperialist front in defense of the people's war in India has already been formed. Hopefully, this new situation of unity amongst the Indian Maoists, that strengthens both the people's war and the expansion of Maoist struggles for an international organization, will not only make such an organization more principled but will produce a strong center in which the preliminary anti-imperialist front will be further strengthened and expanded.
We are particularly hopeful that the unity of our Maoist comrades in India, and the strengthening and expansion of the peoples war in that country, will result in the further stimulation of our party's struggle to initiate and carry forward the revolutionary national peoples war of resistance against imperialist occupiers and their national traitor satraps (the current and particular form of the peoples war in Afghanistan)––further stimulating the struggles of the masses under our party’s leadership, expanding our party’s international efforts for the formation of the international organization of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist parties, promoting and expanding the international solidarity between our party and Maoist comrades throughout the world, and strengthening the spirit of unity amongst all Maoists in our country.
Long live the unity of the Indian Maoists!
Long live proletarian internationalism!
Long live world proletarian revolution!
