Nepal - towards a new Party after the split in PCN maoist


KATHMANDU, NOV 26 – The faction led by CPN-Maoist Secretary Netra Bikram Chand , who severed ties with the party on Monday, has left the Capital. According to a leader close to Chand faction, a new party under leader Chand would soon be announced.
“A gathering will take place until four days and it will decide on the new party’s revolutionary line and strategy,” said the leader, not wanting to reveal the site of the gathering. Sixty leaders including the politburo and central leaders have already left the Capital. Some of the notable names who left the Capital today are Khadga Bahadur Biswokarma, Dharmendra Bastola, Santosh Budha Magar, Bharat Bam, Sudip Malla, Sharad Bhandari, Om Pun, among others. The faction led by leader Chand had separated from the party calling Chairman Mohan Baidya “incapable” of leading the party and class struggle ahead. The party was formed two years ago, following the split from the UCPN (Maoist).
