Latehar: Communist Party of India(Maoist) called for a shutdown on Saturday in Jharkhand and Bihar in protest against the death of CPI(Maoist) cadres who had been gunned down during an encounter in Hazaribagh District recently. The shutdown had an impact in the Latehar District of Jharkhand, where no public transport or heavy vehicles were seen plying on the National Highway (NH) 75 and NH 99. The security operation by the CRPF was conducted in the jungles outside Bukar Village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Chauparan police station.
